Vicky Newham grew up in West Sussex and taught Psychology in East London for many years, before moving to Whitstable in Kent. She studied for an MA in Creative Writing at Kingston University, where she graduated with distinction.
Turn a Blind Eye is her debut novel and will be published by HQ/HarperCollins in Jan 2018. Television rights have been bought by Playground Entertainment. It is a police procedural set in multicultural East London, featuring Bangladeshi detective DI Maya Rahman, who has to investigate ritualised murders which the killer links to Buddhist precepts.
