In our penultimate event, join novelists Jude Cook (Jacob’s Advice, 2020) and Sam Mills (The Fragments Of My Father, 2020) as they discuss their recent books, approaches to fiction and non-fiction, the writing life, and their paths to publication.

About the author...

Jude Cook lives in London and studied English Literature at UCL, where he graduated with a first. Originally a musician and songwriter, his band Flamingoes released two albums twelve-years apart: Plastic Jewels (1995) and Street Noise Invades the House (2007). An extract from his first novel, Byron Easy, won the Writers’ and Artists’ Yearbook Competition in 2007, judged by The Literary Consultancy.
He is an editor for The Literary Consultancy, and currently teaches creative writing at the University of Westminster.

Sam Mills is the author of various novels and non-fiction books including The Quiddity of Will Self (Corsair), The Fragments of my Father (4th Estate) and the forthcoming novel The Watermark (Granta). She is the co-founder and MD of indie press Dodo Ink. She lives in London with her father and cat.
