We’re very excited to bring a Little Book Stop book-sharing box to Margate as part of Penguin Books’ 90th birthday celebrations. Our application was chosen from more than 2000 and we’re delighted to see it now set up in its new home. We’re really looking forward to seeing it in use.

This year, Margate’s Crab Museum published its first children’s book, A Natural History of Bums. It traces the history of life on Earth through the evolution of bums – from bumless pre-history to the modern age. We caught up with writer Bertie Suesat-Williams to find out more about the book and what he has planned for a session at the Children’s Bookie.

For his latest book, Lone Wolf, writer and journalist Adam Weymouth traced the 1000 mile route of a wolf across the Alps. Along the way, he discovered the stories of the people living on the trail, and how their lives are being affected by nationalism, globalisation and climate change. Ahead of his appearance at Margate Bookie, we caught up with him to find out more about Lone Wolf and his plans for the future.
