The Margate Bookie Litfest

Created in 2015, the festival attracts high quality authors, writers, teachers, and publishers to Margate. This celebration has grown from a tiny first audience of 80 people to over 5,000 visitors a year. I started this from scratch and - through the magical power of storytelling - I’ve made it into the UK’s friendliest literary festival.

I’ve been approached by three different publishers to write a book about what I’ve learned from the Bookie over the decade. The topics they suggest include following your dream, influencing, storytelling, effective writing, management, organisation and project control and leadership. Maybe one for 2025…
